My Backup
Use MyBackup Pro before you leave home/work on a business trip to backup your Android phone Data (Contacts, Call log, Bookmarks, SMS, MMS, System Settings etc) as well as your Apps and Media (Photos, Music, Videos). The Backup file can be saved to MyBackup Pro’s online server (up to 100mb) or to phone storage.
If you choose phone storage, connect your phone to your PC/laptop and copy the backup file to its hard drive. There’s not much point backing up all your phone Data, Apps and Media to phone storage, leaving the only backup copy there, then losing or breaking the phone during your travels!

BuzzOff
This great app hasn’t been updated in a long time but its core function still works on every recent Android phone we tested it on. Basically, what it does is turn the phone into silent or vibrate mode and then turn the ringer back on after a certain amount of time has passed (up to 23 hours 59 minutes). This means you don’t risk switching your phone to silent mode for use during a flight and forgetting to turn the ringer back on once you’ve landed.

Screen Filter
Many Android phones are still relatively bright even on the lowest display setting. However you may want to reduce screen brightness to save battery life or just stop the person sitting next to you on the plane reading your screen.
Screen Filter has the brilliant ability to reduce your screen brightness below the minimum level allowed by your phone manufacturer. Just add it as a widget to one of your home screens and choose the brightness percentage. Press that widget to activate it and press it again to deactivate.
You can add several Screen Filter widgets to different home screens at different percentage darkness levels. Just make sure you don’t choose absolute 0% darkness level.

Tape-a-Talk
Recording conversations at business meetings (with permission) can be useful for re-listening later. You may also like taking notes by speaking into your phone rather than typing ideas into the screen.
Tape-a-Talk is unique because it lets you record your voice/business meeting as an uncompressed WAV audio file or a compressed 3GP audio file. The benefit of being able to choose WAV is higher audio quality and the ability edit and play WAV files quite easily on a computer.

Tiny Flashlight + LED
What happens if the overhead light above your aircraft seat doesn’t work? You could use the Torch/Flashlight app that comes as standard on some Android phones. However the problem with those apps is they often lack customisation features.
Tiny Flashlight + LED is so popular because it lets you use your Android phone screen and/or the phone LED camera flash as a flashlight while letting you choose lots of settings such as how bright the screen should be, which colour and even an option to make the LED flash to send a text message in morse code.
